Hey peeps, can you feel spring in the air yet? I’m trying not to get excited by all of this nice weather, I’m pretending it’s second false spring. Anyway I’m getting distracted before we even get going. I’ve been working on expanding my portfolio to include seasonal collections. Today I will be introducing you to three Saint Patrick’s Day Patterns focusing on clover.
I hope to give you an idea about how hiring me to design a custom pattern or leasing my existing illustrations can help you make unique experiences for your customers.
A lot of businesses, including mine, launch themed products throughout the year. It’s an excellent way to add a little personality to your offerings without compromising on your brand awareness or professionalism.
Using a custom pattern to elevate your presentation is effective and easy. It could be as simple as a festive backdrop on an existing advertisement, maybe its a new print featuring lucky pennies, or a label design for a batch of green beer.
Without further delay here are my Saint Patrick’s Day Patterns
Tiled Clover

I couldn’t create a pattern for St.Patricks day without including green beer. When I was brainstorming ideas green beer was the second thing I wrote down. I have no idea why adding food colouring to beer got so popular but it goes to show we enjoy the simple things.

Imagine looking through the cooler at your local liquor store in search of something new to try. Everything looks similar until your eye catches the deep greens of this label, that first moment is just long enough to potentially sway your purchase.
A Lucky Penny Saint Patricks Day Pattern

Luck was the first thing I wrote down and what’s luckier than finding a penny in a patch of clover? Maybe you design clothing, and you’re considering taking the plunge into a custom fabric exclusive to your brand and make it a limited edition product for Saint Patricks Day.

It doesn’t have to be underwear, I just want to see my work on a pair of Saxx or 2Under or something. It could be any article of clothing. Hashtag goals.
Coin and Clover

In this last example, maybe you already have a staple product that you want to focus on like a certain fast food chain and a mint flavoured milkshake. You could easily change its name temporarily for the month of March. Creating the illusion of an exclusive product without having to change anything except the way it is presented. A lot of big box franchises do this.
I’m sure you can think of at least one other example. Let’s just say you make the best mint mocha’s in town, by presenting them as a seasonal drink you can drum up business and excitement around its “return” to the menu.

It’s subtle but the inclusion of the pattern behind the to go cup, and the banners messaging creates a more festive feel. Further supporting the shamrock theme.
The possibilities with a custom surface pattern are truly endless. Commissions and leasing inquiries can be sent to justinericksonart@gmail.com. Together let’s create a unique experiences for your clients.
Stay creative out there peeps,
Justin Erickson
