So, it was brought to my attention that last weeks comic didn’t come across that I was excited or happy about the news. Leaving Alberta is sad, and I definitely had an oh shit moment but i’m definitely excited to go!
Leaving Alberta
I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m beyond excited to be leaving Alberta. In the same breath I can also say there’s so much about this province that I’ll miss.
I am fearful and worried for the future of Alberta. There’s nothing left here for anyone working outside oil and gas. Investment is at an all time low. A diverse economy was thrown out the door after our last provincial election. Human rights, and environmental rights are under attack, being rewritten. The covid pandemic is not being taken seriously. It’s not a good place to be right now.
It’s no secret that I detest Alberta’s political climate and general sentiment of profit over people.
It certainly doesn’t help that I no longer feel welcome in the province I grew up in.
I am legitimately relieved to say I’m leaving.
Moving Interrupting Regular Business
Now that most everything except the essentials are packed away and there’s only a handful of days left until we leave. There will be a delay In the time it takes me to process orders. I’m expecting things to be back to normal by the first week of August. Any items purchased between July 24th and August 4th will be processed and shipped by the seventh.
I’m hoping it’s a fairly smooth transition. I’m finally gonna have my own studio space!
As for Emails. I’ll answer them as quickly as I can. Once I’m on the road it’s probably going to take me a few days to get back to you. I just ask for your patience during this transition.
Now that I let you know about the possible delays… BUY STUFF!
Any support is always appreciated. It allows me to pay the bills, and it’s less I need to pack and travel with. Help an artist out!
I should probably get back to preparations.
Stay creative!
